Rick Hoy

Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer

In Guernsey, Mr Hoy served as CEO for Data Transmission Corporation (DTC) for 11 years, and was a key participant in Developing Servicesat Ltd (Gibraltar)—a subsidiary of DTC, into one of the largest satellite communications companies operating in the region, expanding from its founding office in Gibraltar to offices in the UK, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Iraq, Afghanistan, Australia and Africa.
While acting as CEO for DTC Mr Hoy was also responsible for founding Global Marine Communications (Cyprus)—a Joint Venture between DTC and The Evans Property Group in the UK. GMC was specifically founded to supply satellite communication systems and infrastructure to the largest ‘white boats’ and commercial vessels afloat. Mr Hoy is a serial entrepreneur with over 11 successful start-ups, including IT, Technology, manufacturing, distribution and retail, with the most successful, the sale of The Eclipse Group in the late 1990s of which he held an 11% share. The Eclipse Group was involved in the development of highly sophisticated back-end systems for the delivery of content and infrastructure for many of the companies in the DotCom era. Mr Hoy also holds a Bachelor of Business.

Andrew Longhorn

Cofounder and Chief Technical Officer

Andrew has over 25 years of extensive experience in the IT industry, after completing his Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Computer Science. He has been engaged in a wide variety of roles from Project Manager, Team Leader, and Systems Architect to Consultant and Systems Engineer (Sales) for companies such as British Aerospace, EMC, Rio Tinto, Accenture and Aspect (KAZ/Telstra).
Achievements in his career portfolio include building real-time satellite tracking systems, robotics, data stores, and document and records management systems for public companies, a broad range of government departments, the department of defence, national security agencies, and major multinational companies.

Anthony P. Das

General Manager (India)

A qualified Civil Engineer with fluency in several languages, Anthony has vast and very diverse fields of management experience, ranging from construction, to mining, hospitality and the services industry.

Melina Demertzis

Office Manager

Melina is responsible for managing the administrative tasks in the office.  She has over 16 years experience in secretarial / administration most of which were earned in the legal industry.

Shreeya Raju

Human Resources Manager

Shreeya is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in Human Resource & Business Development. Shreeya manages Recruitment, Employee Relations, HR Operations, Communications, inductions, formulations and implementation of HR Policies, along with gathering market intelligence. Shreeya’s diverse background in HR, Marketing and Sales has proved advantageous, as her level of professionalism allows her to manage various facets of the companies operations.

Debra Donahoe

Business Development Manager

Debra is a people person with a career background in property development, real estate and marketing. Debra has a large education portfolio and broad skill set focused around people and relationships. She believes that relationship is key to business success and always strives to deliver beyond clients expectations at all times.

Sean Brassington

Systems Engineer

Sean is the iApps go-to-man, combining extensive and broad experience in Information Technology and Customer Service With a Bachelor of IT and has since been engaged in a variety of roles including database developer, web developer, store manager and network administrator.

Mitchell Harris

Creative Director

Mitchell comes from a technical, artistic and musical background to bring over 10 years of combined experience in professional Graphic Design, Pre Press and the IT industry. With a Diploma of Information Technology and Certificate in Website Design, he went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Visual Arts with Graphic Design and Marketing minors.

Jake Hart

Multimedia Engineer

Jake hails from an artistic background, which is reflected in his ability to create stunning and original graphics for our diverse product line. As a business owner, Jake is entrepreneurial by nature and understands what is required to stand out from the rest in today’s workplace.

Adam Roth

Chief Software Architect

Adam was born in the United States completing his studies at Hawaii Pacific University and later earning a Masters of Computer Science at New Mexico Tech (as seen on Mythbusters)—for his thesis on power-aware disk-scheduling algorithms—Adam is a Silicon Valley veteran and a Senior Software Architect at iApps.

Chris Nevin

Senior Software Architect

Chris knows the Sunshine Coast well, having completed his primary to tertiary level education locally. Since completing his Bachelor of ICT at the University of The Sunshine Coast, Chris joined iApps as a Software Architect—bringing young and expert talent across a range of roles to the company. From project management to software development and design, Chris is well versed in technical delivery.

Deepika Srivastava

Engineering Team Leader

Deepika has broad experience in the IT industry including developing application software for Windows Desktop. An expert programmer for the iOS platform—Deepika is currently leading the Apple iOS team at our Bangalore office and has previously worked for high profile organisations such as HCL Technologies and Streamnet India Pvt. Ltd, prior to joining the team in early 2012.

Christopher Streel

Software Architect

Christopher Steel started his professional career working with the C Family of development languages—which he’s utilised to hone his native development skills for the iOS platform. Having completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering and currently studying another in Interactive Entertainment.

Amresh Kumar

Software Engineer

With a Bachelor of Engineering, Mastering in Information Science from Bangalore’s prestigious Acharya Institute of Technology, Amresh is expertly versed in developing for both iOS and WP7 platforms. His experience in C, C++, Objective C, Silverlight and XNA is impressive—having completed many high-end projects since commencing his career as a developer.
